Plaster and paper maché moulds were made using tree bark found in a cemetery in Meerut, and the Shiv Nadar University campus. Parts of the bark remain embedded in some moulds to clarify the association between the imprint and its source. In one of the pieces, a block of plaster mixed with cut grass was made over a piece of cut branch that had been discarded on campus. Once the block had completely dried, it began to absorb the moisture in the branch, forming a crack. The block was cut along the crack, so that the block of wood is visibly halved.
