This installation used soil collected from the construction of a highway, dead plants that had been uprooted and discarded on campus, and dried leaves that had been swept into piles. It borrowed from the idea of the sacred grove, a grove of palm trees on campus, that has been protected by the myths surrounding its sanctity by the locals in the area. Through this installation, the attempt was to evoke the atmosphere of the grove while also trying to create a garden of dried, decaying objects.
