Veda Thozhur Kolleri works with drawing, video, sculpture, photography, and text, which usually takes the form of immersive environments. The natural world has been the focus of much of her work, to discover intersections between biology and consciousness in manifestations of growth, nurture, survival, and sustenance, that are shared across species.
Underlying internal processes are central to her practice, as she takes apart and reassembles the different elements of her work, to open up perspectives that are anchored by the nature of her inquiry. She is interested in how narratives are as much created by associations made within a given context, as they are by more obviously sequential modes of thinking.
